For older pre-2006 models, the serial number is located on the watch case at the 6:00 mark, between the lugs that hold the bracelet. So you would need to remove the bracelet to read the numbers. The placement of the serial number between 2006 and 2010 was engraved on the inner bezel of the watch - some models still had the number engraved on the watch case. Models after 2010 have the serial number etched on the inner bezel. These models are referred to as "scrambled".
